A ST SAMPSON’S deputy is devastated after his family car was stolen from a friend’s house in Bolton. Ivan Rihoy left the vehicle at Clive Gibbons’ house after visiting friends and his daughter, who now lives there.

He flew home and was going to return to collect the vehicle, but before he had a chance, it was stolen.  ‘It is very upsetting. It’s very old and not worth very much, but it is very sentimental to me,’ said Deputy Rihoy.

The 1996 white Hyundai Accent was originally used by his late mother and was a company car for his late father’s business, Rihoy and Son Ltd.

‘It is very sad to think that the last days of my late father’s car will be spent with the thief who took it.’  Deputy Rihoy lived in Bolton for eight years when he was at school.
