LOUISE PERRIO showed a welcome return to form as the Sportingbet Channel Islands women’s team produced another fine showing in Division Three of the UK Women’s League in Coventry.

Another top-four placing confirmed the CIAC’s status in the division for another summer and Perrio did her bit for the cause with a new personal best and fourth place over 3,000 metres.

Against tough opposition from the formidable Aldershot and Farnham club, Perrio clocked 10min. 11.2sec. to equal the island record of team-mate Martine Scholes, achieved in the first of this season’s three UK Women’s League matches.

Scholes was also happy with her day, running 2-19.6 for the 800, just outside her lifetime best. Sarah Mercier also ran solidly with a 4-48 in the 1,500m.

But no Sarnian scored more points for the CIAC cause on the day than Kylie Robilliard. Although full of a head cold, she clocked 14.8 for second in the sprint hurdles, ran 12.6 for third in the 100 and 26.2 for fourth in the 200.
