Mace on verge of Grand victory

NICK MACE is on the verge of a sensational success at Bisley.

Every evening for the past week, more than 1,000 of the Commonwealth’s best riflemen have been milling about outside the National Rifle Association headquarters at Bisley, waiting to see who leads the Grand Aggregate.

Since Monday, only one name has been at the top of the leader board – Mace of Guernsey. He’s been shooting like a demon since the main Bisley Imperial meeting got under way at the end of last week.

In the most dreadful conditions that riflemen can face, strong, variable, fish-tailing winds, plus rain, he has only gone out of the bullseye into the inner ring just 11 times. It’s a staggering achievement.
