THE new Town Carnival could be all change again next year as organisers reconsider the event’s title. La Fete de Musique a la Ville was the new name for this year’s event but organisers are considering whether to keep the long title.

‘We will need to think about the name,’ said organiser Deputy Jack Honeybill. ‘We are considering returning to just the Town Carnival and dropping the “new” part.’

Regardless of the name, the event, which has been running all week, has proved popular.

‘This year has been a huge success,’ said Deputy Honeybill. ‘It’s hard to judge how many people have watched events because people are constantly walking through. Everyone has had their favourite acts. It’s just nice to see people enjoying the music.’

Deputy Honeybill said the carnival had created a nice atmosphere in Town.
