FOUR islanders skydived on Saturday to raise money for burns victims. They have so far raised in excess of £2,000 for the Burns Unit Group Support charity, which works with patients at Salisbury District Hospital’s specialist unit.

Jenny Le Prevost, Rachael Trelfer, Russel Bailey and Alison Hearne filmed the experience of jumping out of a plane at 12,000ft and will hold a dinner and screening of the event to raise extra money.

The four managed to get to France and made the jump over St Brieuc airfield at about 2.30pm.

‘It didn’t feel like I was falling – there was just a massive rush of air behind me,’ Mrs Le Prevost said. ‘It’s more like swimming. You are falling at about 120mph and it was a huge rush.’
