A TEAM of tough-talking men have visited Guernsey’s prison to show inmates a way of turning around their lives. Five representatives from the Christian charity Tough Talk went to Les Nicolles on Saturday to share their life stories.
Simon Pinchbeck, 50, was one of the speakers. ‘We are men who have been through the mangle, but who have had an experience of faith that turned our lives around,’ he said.
Ten years ago, he was a very different character from today. ‘I was a dodgy individual,’ he said.
‘My god was the pound note and I would chase it without caring who got hurt in the process and I was never satisfied, no matter how many material things I owned.’
