JAMES BRIGGS has had a solid start to his European campaign.
The 33-year-old Sarnian, who won gold in the sailboarding event at the 2005 NatWest Island Games in Shetland, is spending the next few weeks in Europe competing in three top Formula Windsurfing races.
They feature the best in the continent.
His first stop was the recent Formula Euro Challenger in Pobierowo on Poland’s Baltic coast.
Over three days of competition held in 20 to 30 knots of wind, Briggs came 36th out of the 60 competitors in the men’s fleet.
