THE Harbour Carnival must happen, according to its organisers.
Guernsey Round Table president Stuart Moseley said too many people and a worthy charity would be let down if it was cancelled.
It has been put on hold because of the sewage leak and a new date has yet to be set.
‘Not only will the participants and people who enjoy coming to watch be let down, so will this year’s project, the St Peter Port Centre for Young People,’ he said.
‘We are looking at the end of August or the start of September as the new date.’
