Scholes seals title with victory at Pembroke Bay

IAN SCHOLES sealed the De Putron Summer Series title with victory in the final triathlon of four.

He maintained his excellent form despite challenging conditions at Pembroke Bay on Sunday.

‘I was hoping for a good result as my bike form is currently pretty solid,’ Scholes said.

‘However, I was not expecting the wind to be quite as strong as it was on the outward leg to Grandes Rocques.

‘Hopefully the inter-insular in Jersey in a couple of weeks’ time will be held in less difficult conditions.’
