THE Pony Club Camp 2008 was a great success.
That is the view of organiser Claire Rowlinson, who believed that all the children had learnt from the four-day camp, which had a record turnout.
The event took place at the Pony Club headquarters in St Andrew’s and not even some dodgy weather could spoil the enthusiasm.
‘The last day had bad weather and was raining for most of it. But we just put our coats on and got on with it. It certainly didn’t affect the morale one bit,’ Rowlinson said.
The youngsters were under the guidance of two English instructors throughout their time at the camp, both of whom are BMSA qualified.
At the end of it, all the riders took a test, varying according to what they had been learning over the week.
