VANDALS in St Martin’s are driving residents mad.
Numerous panes of glass at Escaliers Vinery have been smashed with alcopop bottles and on four separate occasions house and car windows have been fired at with airgun pellets.
Police are now focusing patrols on the Rue des Grons and Rue des Escaliers areas.
Residents told the Guernsey Press they had had enough and wanted the vandalism to stop.
Ashley Moon, 42, who has lived on the Rue Jehannet estate for 13 years, said the area used to be very nice but now trouble was around every corner.
‘In recent years they have smashed most of the windows on this estate,’ she said.
