FURTHER measures are needed at a dangerous road junction in the Castel, a resident has claimed.
Despite the Environment Department lowering a wall at the intersection of Route du Tertre and Rue des Queritez, Jean Duquemin fears that not enough has been done.
Mrs Duquemin, who has lived in Route du Tertre all her life, said motorists needed to cut their speed in order to minimise accidents.
‘We need speed bumps or perhaps some sort of filter system at the bottom of the road,’ she said. She had seen many crashes at the junction.
‘My husband had to help somebody a little while ago when they had their foot run over. You really do take your life into your own hands when you step out of your house and onto the road.’
