BELS made it one apiece for this season’s silverware after a late turnaround to win the Rawlinson Cup at the Track last night.
With only seven minutes left and leading 2-1, it seemed that North would beat their rivals for the second time in a fortnight, but Dave Rihoy had other ideas.
An equaliser followed by an injury-time winner sent the Bels fans into raptures and made up for the disappointment of losing the Martinez Cup.
The first 45 minutes were close and tetchy, with neither side managing to take control of the final.
However, just as it seemed that it would be goalless at half-time, North won a penalty in injury time after Glen Skillet was harshly adjudged to have impeded Craig Young.
Young stepped up to put his side a goal to the good, although Rhys Gower got a hand to it.
The second half was just as close, with Bels equalising 10 minutes into it.
A blocked shot looped into the six-yard box, with Marc McGrath getting the final touch after North keeper Richard Davey had flapped.
Their joy was short-lived, however, when Young beat the Bels offside trap before brilliantly curling his shot into the top corner when one on one with Gower.
