Dominant Guillou wins title early

PHIL GUILLOU wrapped up the New Era 250GP Championship with an empathic showing at Snetterton. The Guernsey racer always does well on his Yamaha TZ250 at the Norfolk circuit.

And there were no exceptions at the weekend as needing to win all four races in the penultimate meeting of the series for the title, he proceeded to do so.

The last meeting is at Brands Hatch later this month. ‘It was good to get it out of the way before the last round,’ he said.

‘I know I can go to Snetterton and win the races as I know the others struggle to keep up with this bike at a place like Snetterton.’
