It’s future perfect at Le Murier
Thursday 4th September 2008, 2:29PM BST.
LE MURIER got the thumbs-up yesterday from its first new arrivals. Students in Years 7, 11 and 12 who started at the new special needs school were impressed with the new facilities on their first-day show-round.
‘One of our students said it was like being in the future,’ said head teacher Alan Brown (pictured).
Any minor teething problems had been ironed out yesterday morning and Mr Brown was not anticipating any hiccups when the whole school started today. ‘It’s very exciting. What an opportunity this is.’
Mr Brown said it had been great welcoming students into the school looking smart in their new uniforms.
‘It went well at break time this morning. The students from both schools all got together in the social area and cafeteria. You can’t imagine what it is going to be like until you see it all coming together,’ he said.
