A SKATEPARK caravan-clubhouse has been seriously vandalised in two attacks. The hut is the base for the Xtreme Sports Association and is in the car park of the Guernsey Bowl.
‘We are grateful that none of the ramps was damaged,’ said XSA founding member PJ De La Mare. ‘But the caravan is a mess.’
The damage included a smashed window, a punctured tyre and paint splashes. The vandals had also taken the door off its hinges.
It is estimated the damage was done over two nights earlier in the week. ‘Whoever did this is not involved with the park and it isn’t helping our image.’
Culture and leisure minister Mike O’Hara called the perpetrators idiotic.
‘I am absolutely appalled that that this vandalism has taken place. We really need to get to the bottom of this sort of behaviour as an island. The vandals need to be made an example of.’

Voice For Victims
Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
This needs nipping in the bud or random stabbings will be on the agenda.
I think the community has to work very closely with the Police and help with patrols.
