Memory walk
Friday 5th September 2008, 9:00AM BST.
Last year it raised a whopping £30,000 – half of which went towards building Maison de Quetteville.
And this year the organisers of Guernsey’s Memory Walk are hoping to do even better
The walk begins at 11am on Sunday 28 September.
Those taking part can choose between three options. The full one takes in eight miles of coastal pathway from Chouet to Saumarez Park. People can also opt to join the walk between noon and 1pm from Cobo through the nature trail or stroll around the park itself from 12.30pm onwards.
Everyone should aim to finish between 12.30 and 2pm, and there will be a barbecue, refreshments, children’s games, a raffle, music and entertainment at the park.
