THREE new names have been added to the Liverpool Legends for next week’s match with Guernsey’s Legends at the Track.

European Cup winner and now Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson, as well as the younger faces of Phil Babb and Don Hutchison, will join the already impressive collection of players.

Thompson is the most successful of the trio, having played for the Anfield club over 300 times, including many as captain, and lifted silverware for fun, in the shape of the Division One title, the FA Cup, the League Cup and the European Cup.

He also won 42 caps for England, scoring once against Italy.

Babb has also had plenty of experience, playing over 100 times, although this came in the 1990s when Liverpool were less successful.
