SEVEN members of the RAF karting team boosted the annual all-day meeting at the Track. Fortunately, conditions stayed dry and in the senior class drivers took part in three of the four heats to decide their starting positions for the final.
Colin Laine led from start to finish in the first heat and had a second and fourth place in his other two.
The winner of the second race was newcomer Toby Neilsen, who was delighted to take the chequered flag at only his third race meeting and is certainly a driver to look out for in the future.
Ayrton Hockaday worked his way to the front and finished first in both heats three and four ahead of Claire Kemp of the RAF team, who followed in second.
