JAMES BRIGGS put in a solid performance at the 2008 Formula Windsurfing World Championships.
Held at Portimao, Portugal, the 33-year-old Sarnian (pictured in action) came 66th out of 85 competitors.
‘This is providing a great experience for me to be surrounded by so many good windsurfers,’ Briggs said during the event.
‘I am finding it particularly challenging to get away clean from the start and am on a steep learning curve with different techniques to improve this part of my race in a fleet of this size.’
Briggs was also the third highest Briton after Ross Williams came fourth and Xavier Ferlet in 26th place.
