CULTURAL links between Guernsey and Normandy have been strengthened thanks to members of the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club.
They sailed the 30 miles to Dielette aboard 21 yachts for the annual Clegg Gifford rally.
Each vessel had to complete a navigation exercise during the crossing before a reception was held overlooking the harbour, with a traditional French meal for the 60 members.
The results of the competition were announced by Commodore John Frankland, with prizes presented by Clegg Gifford’s Carl Richards.
Dominic Clark in Corona took top honours, with Patrick Cox aboard Matusa in second and Andy Stoaling in Trio coming third.
