THERE have been significant changes within the teams of the OSA Recruitment Ladies’ League ahead of the season, which begins tomorrow. Savills 1 may be the oldest team in the league but they will still take some beating going into the season as defending champions.
They start the season with a new head coach. Mike Amstad has retired from coaching after many successful years and is replaced by last year’s assistant Mike Dorey.
The team is without Elizabeth Kimber, who has opted to retire, but welcomes 15-year-old Jenny Lindfield from the second team, who hopes to develop even further.
Familiar faces remain for the rest of the squad with Sandy Ozanne, Ann Saunders, Julie Elmy, Sam Le Marquand, Rachel Gosling and Andi Pettitt. Club teams NashCopy and Gestetner enter the new season with big changes to their line-ups.
The most notable absentees will be influential club captain Karen Archenoul, absent through pregnancy, and inside-hitter Lisa Dowinton, who has gone travelling.
