Condor Group is bought by Australian investment bank
Thursday 25th September 2008, 1:00PM BST.
CONDOR has officially been sold, the Guernsey Press can reveal today. Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund II is the new owner of the Condor Group.
The sale had been approved by the Jersey competition authority on Monday and the deal went through yesterday.
Condor chief executive officer Rob Provan has decided to leave the group. A spokeswoman for Condor said it had always been Mr Provan’s plan to step down once the sale took place.
‘Rob has played a hugely important role in the development of the business and has been instrumental in its success in recent years. We would like to thank him for his significant contribution to the group and wish him every success in the future,’ she said.
The rest of the executive team remains in place, with the Channel Islands management of Condor unchanged.
