Nash have ability to claim back the title

0348005.jpgALTHOUGH the OSA Recruitment Men’s league does not start until November, all men’s sides will be in action in the inaugural running of the Steve Le Poidevin Volleyball Vase.

Savills Men will field only one team this season due to retirements of some of the older players. Also the loss of Bero Bobus to Jersey means they lose height through the outside.

Long-term injuries to Andrew Maiden and Mike Amstad affect early season practice and as such the team will need to come out firing if they are to retain the title.

Sam De Kooker (pictured) joins the squad from a rowing background and shows promise. Juniors Will and James Bodkin improved massively over last season and, hopefully, by combining them with some of the more experienced players, they will continue to improve throughout the year.

With a decent squad size, no-one will be guaranteed a place in the starting line-up. NashCopy Men will be losing some experienced players yet again.
