College of FE 0, Victoria College 1
VICTORIA College made it three wins out of three in the CI Schools’ League, but for the first time this campaign they had their work cut out.

Mike Reed’s College of FE side proved to be tough opponents at the small St Peter Port School pitch and, in truth, on occasion too tough for their liking.

Referee Ted Teed was perhaps too lenient for the game’s good, but he finally snapped out of his diffidence to issue a late red card to the home side’s Jack Tostevin for verbals. He might have already cautioned Tostevin for a late tackle, as well as Sam Norris and Max Hunter for similarly late challenges, while Victoria also showed that they could look after themselves and one of their big centre backs was lucky to get away without a caution when he clattered Scott Bougourd in the lower back.

The result was the right one, although the home side battled bravely throughout against technically superior opponents who had crashed 11 past de la Salle and seven in the Elizabeth College net.
