ISLANDERS working towards professional qualifications will once again have a dedicated study centre. The GTA University Centre’s new premises at Morningside House, Le Marchant Street, has been officially opened.
In attendance were Chief Minister Lyndon Trott, Education minister Carol Steere, Commerce and Employment minister Carla McNulty Bauer, GTA trustees and directors and the builders who worked on the premises.
Morningside House represents a significant development in the provision of teaching and study facilities.
In addition to the library, stocked with more than 800 study texts, journals and periodicals, it has a fully-equipped, purpose-designed training room that can seat up to 25 in theatre style, a delegates’ lounge and internet access for students.
The premises replace the facilities that were previously offered at Nelson Place, Smith Street, the original home of the GTA.
