VICTORIA COLLEGE are on course to keep the Channel Islands Schools Football League title in Jersey. The reigning champions are top of the table after four matches with 10 points.
They also boast a goal difference of +18 goals after scoring 20 and conceding just two. However, it is no surprise they are doing so well considering they have up to eight of Jersey’s under-18 side in their ranks.
But the College of Further Education look set to be the best Guernsey side capable of upsetting Victoria’s march to glory. They narrowly lost to Victoria 1-0 recently but defeated the Grammar School 5-2 last week.
They topped this off with a 4-3 victory over De La Salle yesterday to find themselves second on eight points. At the bottom end of the table, it’s becoming a sorry tale for Elizabeth College, who after six games have yet to register a win and lost to De la Salle 1-0 this week.
