Landsbanki depositors join forces

LANDSBANKI depositors might take their claim to court to get their money back – but that cannot be done while the bank is in administration.
Last night, depositors from all over the world, who currently stand to lose 70% of their savings, got together via a conference call.
They discussed what action they could take to get their money back.
An action group in Guernsey will be formed, with a selected representative to liaise with the government and the administrator.
Last week it was confirmed that investors could receive an initial 30% of their savings.
But the new group will be demanding that 100% of their deposits are returned and will then create a petition to get their voices heard.
