0659790.jpgTHE Channel Islands Stock Exchange has become a success through constant innovation, according to its chief executive. This year it is celebrating its 10th anniversary in both Guernsey and Jersey.

Since 1998, it has gone from 23 members to 53 and is on the brink of completing its 3,000th listing this year.

Many practices and products that the CISX has introduced have become standards in the global industry, said Tamara Menteshvili (pictured).

‘We are innovative, we are always listening to our members and we undertake regular research in order to evaluate the trends that lie ahead.

‘About three or four years ago we decided that alternative investments were something that we were interested in pursuing, so we have been proactive in facilitating those structures.

‘We were the first stock exchange to introduce limited-partnership interests and trading on partly-owned shares and now everyone is doing it.’
