GREMLIN Galacticos completed the first rotation of Premier Division matches with a 9-3 win over North Social L-Plates to earn themselves a three-point lead at the top of the table.
It was another strong performance from the promoted side in restricting the Galacticos to just the one 3-0 individual win.
That came from Paul Le Sauvage, but none of the Galacticos island stars was able to make a significant break.
Adam Shorto and Adrian Lihou were both pegged back to 1-1 in their respective matches, with the former unable to stop the white going in off the final black against Darren Hughes in their second frame.
Shorto was made to work hard for his victory after Hughes had commanded a 50-point lead before missing a black that might well have sealed the win.
Kevin N. de Carteret impressed in his second frame against Lihou before finally succumbing to the Galacticos captain.
