ST MARTIN’S yesterday jumped to the top of Division One on a dramatic night in the wet.
Colin Fallaize’s men beat Sylvans 2-0 at Blanche Pierre Lane with goals from Chris Le Noury and Jason Winch.
But the real drama was at the Track and Corbet Field.
Champions Bels were 3-0 down after 20 minutes against Rangers, but then the red-and-blacks’ defence opened wide for the second time in four days and slumped to another 6-3 defeat.
At the Corbet Field North were expected to go top of the table but surprisingly lost 2-1 to a young Vale side who showed real promise and determination.
Lee Ogier and Tom de Garis put Rec two up at the break and they held on despite Matt Loaring’s stunner.
