BSJA Guernsey have once again surpassed themselves with an outstanding two-day Cross Country Challenge.

Held over a gloriously sunny weekend on land in St Andrew’s, kindly lent to them by Mr and Mrs Roy Burton and Mr and Mrs Steve Hocart, entries were at a maximum once again for the eighth annual event.

A lot of hard work and designing and planning went in to the organisation of the event with senior member Laura Breban designing the course. The second day was a track reversal of the first and the time and faults accumulated over both added together to decide the overall winner.

All sections resulted in some casualties with either an elimination, or fall of horse and/or rider.

Cathy Best riding L’Amour had two superb days and won the main Martin Collins Senior 1.05/1.10 class, just ahead of Inga Le Prevost on Personality.  Both Breban and Maddie Wilson had two class wins.
