CENKOS YOBBOS stretched their lead at the top of the Investec Men’s Division One with a 4-2 win over second placed Coreix Unwantables at Foote’s Lane on Saturday.
After five matches, Yobbos are six points clear having won all five.
But according to the club’s media and press liaison officer, Steve Ward, there is no question of them resting on their laurels.
‘Absolutely not – there’s no overconfidence in this team,’ he said.
‘Paper teams win paper cups. There’s a long way to go and we’re not being complacent.’
With Yobbos’ best player, Andy Whalley, injured, their goals came courtesy of Adam Kitching with two, Ben Allberry and Andy Good.
It was burly Good’s second goal in as many games for the player who is usually found in goal.
Unwantables’ goals came the way of Andy Bell and Phil Ogier.
