Inferno turn up the heat on their rivals

COLLINS STEWART INFERNO sent out a message to their rivals when they claimed Saturday’s Close Wealth Management Preseason Division One Basketball Tournament at Beau Sejour.

The 2008-09 Yorkshire Guernsey Men’s Division One kicks off on Saturday and Inferno established themselves as serious title contenders when they got the better of their stable mates and last year’s league champions, Collins Stewart, in the final.

‘It was really nice [to win],’ said Inferno’s player-coach Adam Farish.

‘We seemed to play well as a team.’

Following the round-robin fixtures, it was no surprise that the semi-finals saw Collins Stewart face Le Mont Saint Fiat while Le Mont Saint took on Inferno.
