A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after smashing into the side of a car at L’Ancresse yesterday.
The 24-year-old local male driver of a black Triumph motorbike collided with the side door of a car as it turned right across Les Mielles Road to enter La Rue du Passeur.
The force of the blow cracked the frame of the motorbike in several places and scattered its parts across the road.
Its rider sustained facial injuries, a fractured wrist and suspected neck and back injuries, but remained conscious.
Emergency services received a series of calls from 11.51 and the police were on the scene within 10 minutes, closely followed by the ambulance and fire services.
