0670389.jpgFRANKIE BROUARD (pictured) finished his final season in the 65cc Brittany Championship in a very respectable eighth position.

In the winter he will be riding a KTM 85cc bike in Guernsey and also continuing his training in France as often as possible before the 2009 French season begins in March.

The category, which is for 11 to 14-year-olds, is going to be a real challenge for the Sarnian who is at the bottom of the age group, but he is looking forward to it and has shown that he is not daunted by tough competition.

The final meeting of the 2008 campaign was at Bedee and Brouard had to be at his best to finish with a top 10 spot, which ensures riders of an invite to the presentation along with all the others from competitions in Brittany and which was his aim for the season.

There was some serious competition, especially as the top French lad was back from injury and looking for a win.

It was a hard first race with all the riders fighting to get the best place they could.
