0425917.jpgTHREE current champions have exited the snooker competitions after the latest phase of knockout matches.

All three departures came in the handicap events, with lower-division players ousting Premier opponents on each occasion.

Graham Peel’s (pictured) bid to retain the Norman Wale Handicap ended with a 2-0 defeat to Peter Crispini, while Adrian Holley, Glenn Le Prevost and Rob Gauvain also lost to lower-ranked opposition.

Holley and Gauvain were both beaten 2-1, with the former edged out by Simon Newton and Gauvain defeated by Adie Exall from the Third Division.

Although getting close, Le Prevost’s defeat to Marc McGrath saw the Premier left-hander unable to pick up a frame.

There was more bad news for Holley as he and partner Martyn Desperques’ long unbeaten run in the Handicap Pairs came to an end.
