Deal brings IT companies closer

99df2388.jpgITEX has signed a partnership agreement with Bermuda’s largest IT company, Applied Computer Technologies.  The deal sees the pair come together under the banner Offshore Alliance and working jointly to deliver a range of technology solutions to clients in Bermuda and beyond from December.

The companies will aim to deliver seamless technology services to businesses operating in the offshore financial services sector following the rapid increase in the number of companies that have a multi-jurisdictional presence around the world.

Itex is the UK’s largest offshore IT service provider and has been established for more than 30 years. It employs more than 150 people in Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.

Chairman Dr Ian Jauncey (pictured) said he was delighted the partnership agreement had been signed.  ‘We work with many organisations through our operating companies in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man that have offices in other jurisdictions around the world, including Bermuda.

‘From speaking with them, we have identified a real need for efficient offshore IT provision which covers all of these jurisdictions as it doesn’t make sense for a company to deal with one provider in one jurisdiction and another provider elsewhere.’
