She demonstrated in emphatic style the progress she has made as she claimed two under-15 crowns and three at under-17 level.

Her first match of the day was against her friend and doubles partner, Hannah Spittal, and she achieved a convincing 21-5, 21-5 win in the U-15 age group.

She then took the U-17 girls’ singles with a comfortable victory against Natasha Hutchings of Jersey.

Partnering Spittal, Trebert went on to win both the U-15 and U-17 girls’ doubles against Maxine Cumming and Erin McCann of Guernsey and Hutchings and Kirsty Marshall from Nottingham respectively.

Her most impressive win – partnering Glenn Le Tissier – was in the U-17 mixed doubles in which they defeated Michael Johnston (Lancashire) and Hutchings 21-15, 21-15.

That was one of three defeats Le Tissier inflicted on Johnston during the afternoon.
