Bels 11, Rocquaine Pirates 1
CLASS usually shines through and it certainly did on Saturday at the Track.

Not only did the Channel Islands champions ease through to the next round of the Guernsey FA Cup at the expense of Sylvans reserves Rocquaine Pirates, but the visitors’ consolation came from a quality player not short of a medal or two himself.

Lee Renouf might not cover the ground as quickly as he once did, but he still has plenty of ability in those boots and his goal five minutes before half-time was sublime.

After a decent build-up down the right flank, with Michael Trotter heavily involved, Renouf burst through and shrugged off Glenn Skillett before lifting the ball over the outrushing Rhys Gower.

However, with Bels having already scored four of their own by that point, the likelihood of a remarkable comeback was minimal.
