Teenager is badly hurt in incident in Town

AN 18-year-old is in hospital in Southampton with a fractured skull after an incident in Town.
Sam Vivian suffered the injury after allegedly being punched in the face. It is understood that he hit his head when he fell onto the pavement.
He was taken to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital before being flown to Southampton General Hospital. His parents have accompanied him.
A family friend said that the former St Peter Port School student, who works as a painter and decorator, is suffering from bleeding within the skull and has undergone an operation. His condition is described as stable.
The incident took place at about 8.30pm on Saturday behind the Thomas De La Rue pub.
Nine men were arrested and interviewed by police. Seven were released without conditions and two on police bail.
