THE Brecqhou Lass was holed when it hit rocks near Herm early yesterday.
The skipper called Port Control at 8.48am, saying the vessel had hit a rock near the Alligande beacon on the Guernsey side of Herm.
It was taking in water and he asked for the Fire & Rescue Service to be at the harbour when it arrived.
The boat raced to the harbour and was intentionally beached on the corner of numbers seven and eight berths to allow a fire crew to board to begin pumping out water.
After being patched up, the Brecqhou Lass was moved to the inter-island quay to allow harbour divers to carry out an underwater inspection. She was later craned from the water and placed next to Boatworks+.
