Lottery prize is up to a record £513K and still rising

THE top prize in this year’s Channel Islands Christmas lottery is the highest ever.
The jackpot for the charity draw has reached £513,000 – and is still rising. Time is ticking for those who have yet to buy a ticket.
The draw will be made on Tuesday and broadcast on Channel TV and published in the Guernsey Press and its website thisisguernsey.
The first prize will continue to climb as ticket sales increase and Paul Le Sauvage, finance director at Culture and Leisure, said that tickets would not run out this year.
‘It’s rising at the moment and will continue to do so as long as people are buying the tickets. We’ve still got a week to go.’
Last year, 1,100,000 tickets were sold in the islands but demand still outstripped supply.
