GREMLIN GALACTICOS will end the year in the same way that they started it – proudly atop the Image Group Premier Division.

After spending much of the second quarter of the league in the uncustomary position of second place, the Galacticos knew that a nine-frame haul against the North Social L-Plates would put them above the Chirpers.

Apart from an early scare in Glenn Le Prevost’s first frame against Darren Hughes, the Galacticos surpassed their target with some ease to record a second league whitewash.

Hughes’ first season in the Premier has been an outstanding one and only a black-ball loss denied him the opener.

While the next two were equally hard fought, a break of 42 settled Le Prevost to take them all and with Adrian Lihou restricting Ross De Carteret to 21 points in three frames, a 6-0 lead was established.

Adam Shorto now has the outright lead in the aggregates with his three frames taking his tally to 25.
