Rangers aim to leapfrog champs

0397944.jpgRANGERS are today looking to dent Bels’ title aspirations and leapfrog over them in the table.

The red-and-blacks are on a high after they took care of Saints 2-0 in Division One last weekend, having been buoyed by the return of university students Piers Ockleford, Arrian Green and Tom Le Tissier.

All three are available for the vital home clash with the champions, along with Ross Allen, who has been nothing less than impressive so far this campaign.

The players not on the team list are Jon Veron, who injured his shoulder against Saints, Iain Lowe and, probably, Dale Garland, who has hamstring trouble.

A win would put Rangers into second, ahead of Bels. ‘It’s at St Andrew’s and teams don’t like travelling to St Andrew’s, but we’re used to it,’ said Rangers’ joint head coach, Paul Ockleford (pictured).
