WHEN Micky Eborall reversed out of his daughter’s driveway, he did not expect a near miss with a car being driven the wrong way down the street.

He is now trying to stop other drivers breaking the law in the narrow section of Skins Lane, near La Neuve Rue.

‘It feels like everyone is doing it,’ said Mr Eborall. ‘I think enough is enough. There will be an accident.’

His daughter, Joanne Ouseley, has lived in the road for 13 years and shares her home with husband Nicholas, son Luke, 5, and 17-week-old puppy Izzy.

Their home is at the point where the road stops being two-way. Mrs Ouseley was also worried that a driver abusing the one-way system could cause an accident.

‘It is getting worse,’ she said. ‘Even with St Peter Port School closing, there are a lot of children around here. It’s dangerous.’

The family have informed the police about the problem.

i also agree that this particular section of skins lane is getting more and more dangerous. The people living in that lane, seems to think they can reverse down their path and go against the traffic. On several occassions a black diahatsu, silvery peuguet plus lots more. I want to see these cars being stopped all these are doing it on a regular basis. They are breaking the law and should be stopped.

I don`t think it is just the one way roads that we need to worry about! It is also all the drivers running red lights!!!!! I have even seen police cars running the red light at St Julians Ave, i was half way across the road with my 3 year old at the time, they were just going back into the station as well.
