PETER STABLES eagerly awaits the draw for the Guernsey FA Cup semi-finals, although his dream final can no longer materialise.

The boss of Officemaker – the second string North side who are into the last four – had a wry smile at 3.50 on Saturday when he admitted that he would love to meet the chocolate-and-blues’ first team in the showpiece occasion.

However, a couple of hours later, his was the only Northfield-based outfit left in the cup following Bels’ 3-1 win over the holders.

That, though, does not diminish Officemaker’s achievement of reaching the semis, which they managed thanks to Friday night’s 3-1 win over NP Valencia.

‘Ross [Cameron] and I have worked hard with the lads and we had the better of the first 30 minutes or so,’ Stables said of the match.

‘We did a job and we are delighted to be in the semi finals.’
