THE Guernsey Motor Cycle and Car Club are looking for new junior members.
Organisers of the junior sand racing competitions said they have been struggling to increase the numbers of participants.
‘We would like anybody who is interested to contact us,’ said club member Amos Ozanne.
There are only four juniors from Guernsey and one junior from Alderney who currently compete in the island.
The lack of competition has meant they have had to go to Jersey to improve their skills and ability.
‘If we had more locals it would be better for them,’ said Ozanne.
The five juniors who compete on the island are twin brothers Ricky Lee Rive and Billy Reece Rive, Frankie Brouard, Josh Lambourne and Alderney’s Dean Chandler.
