GUERNSEY go into 2009 as they ended 2008 – without their captain.
Simon Sharrott is currently off the island and unavailable for tomorrow London Three South-West match with KCS Old Boys at Foote’s Lane (kick off 2pm).
The influential prop was suspended for the pre-Christmas visit to third-placed Guildford, which Guernsey lost narrowly 23-19.
However, the Sarnians are confident of getting back to winning ways against a side they beat 22-15 away from home earlier in the season.
KCS are currently second from bottom of the table on five points, compared to eighth-placed Guernsey on eight.
Blair Campbell, who has missed the last few games with a knee injury, has started training again and might be involved today.
