SYLVANS have wrapped up the treble by claiming the Women’s Knockout Cup.

Held at a chilly Corbet Field on Sunday morning, the westerners got the better of Rovers 6-1 in the final.

Two goals apiece from Eleanor Holden, Claire Rouget and their star player Rochelle Vaudin secured a comfortable win for Sylvans to ensure that they kept their hands on the cup.

The victory adds to their success in the Women’s Charity Shield at the start of the season and their Sure Mobile League title.

‘[We are] very delighted as that was the treble’ said Sylvans coach Jo Ferbrache.

‘I thought it started off pretty even, but then we took control of the game and we were the worthy winners and the score-line reflects that.’

Sylvans had dominated the local women’s football scene for years prior to losing their league crown last season to St Martin’s.
